Educators tell us year after year that they return home from the Global Forum invigorated and inspired. Attendees return to their school with fresh ideas and the tools to turn them into a reality.

The Microsoft in Education Global Forum recognizes and celebrates the achievements of educators who are preparing students for life in the 21st century. Each year, the Microsoft in Education Global Forum brings together participants from the Microsoft Innovative Educators Program and the Microsoft Innovative Schools Program for an energetic, collaborative conference. This high profile event is attended by more than 700 of the world’s most innovative educators, school leaders, and education leaders from 75 countries, along with government officials.

The 2014 Global Forum will take place in Barcelona, Spain from March 11 to 14, 2014 and includes:

How to get to the Global Forum
For educators
Educators are selected to attend through the
Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert application process.
This application process includes demonstrating how student learning was positively impacted through the inclusion of technology in a learning activity. The learning activity must be uploaded to the Microsoft Educator Network along with a video describing the activity. All educators who are actively teaching in the classroom are welcome and encouraged to apply.
For school leaders
School leaders are selected to attend based on the
Microsoft Mentor School application process.
This application process includes creating a 2 - 3 minute video about the culture of innovation in your school.
