(Who is brave enough to catch a wave in Kachemak Bay in Alaska? Don “Iceman” McNamara, for one. McNamara lives on the shore of the bay in Homer, a fishing town on the Kenai Peninsula that dubs itself "the cosmic hamlet by the sea." McNamara is part of a growing group of surfers who find the bracing waters of Kachemak Bay just another welcome challenge. One imagines they subscribe to the old surfer adage, "Surfing is life; the rest is details.")
